She is the author of Her Own Hero: The Origins of the Women's Self Defense Movement and The Children of Chinatown: Growing up Chinese American in San Francisco\, 1850 1920. In late May\, her book Public Faces\, Secret Lives: A Queer History of the Women's Suffrage Movement\, will be available. \n\n\n\nVenue: We return to the wonderful outdoor patio a Cider House Junction - an awesome lesbian owned bistro which features American and European style small plates\, paired with craft ciders and craft beers from around the world.
